Transferring Students to Advisors

Ask these questions first before transferring them to an Advisor.

Are you a New student or a Returning student from the previous semester?

If Returning-

Ask them who their Advisor is?

If they don’t know, look their Advisor up in Self-Service under Advising.

Then transfer them to their Advisor, or the next available Advisor by dialing the main line number, 903-875-7397.

If New-

Ask them if they have applied to the school.

If no, direct them to goapplytexas.org to apply.

If yes, ask them if they have submitted their transcripts, bacterial meningitis shot record, and TSI test scores.

If yes, double check in Self-Service. If all clear, transfer them to the advising department, 903-875-7397.
